Kristen Visits from New York

My cousin Kristen was visiting from New York last week.  It was so much fun to catch up, laugh, drink wine, and spend time together.  We miss her and were so happy to be together.  Lily adored her! She smiled and cooed at her more than she has with anyone else!

Mama's Little Helper

Bella is really into being my little helper right now.  She loves to sweep when I sweep, vacuum, water the plants, do the dishes, wash her baby sister, the list goes on and on..... Here are a few pictures of my little helper  :)

Sub Zero

Today was an exciting and eventful day.... Bella's first ever trip to an ice cream shop!! She is allergic to dairy and soy so she has never eaten ice cream out anywhere... Then we heard about this new place called Sub Zero. You pick your milk base, flavor, and toppings and they freeze your ice cream right in front of you by using nitrogen. It was pretty cool to watch. They have an option of getting a rice milk base so we were super excited. I am also on a special diet because I am nursing and Lily has food allergies too... So Maddie got me a gift certificate here for Mothers Day and I couldn't wait to use it. Today Maddie had a half day so it was the perfect day to use it. It was a fun experience... Bella loved it! Then again she has never had real ice cream like me... I thought it was ok. I will try different flavor next time.

2 month stats

Tomorrow our Lily is 2 months old. There are so many things we have learned to love about her and the love bug she is blossoming into. Some of her favorite things:
1. Being held and snuggled as much as possible
2. Sleeping on top of the dryer or with mama... Still loving to be swaddled tight
3. Snack nursing... You love to nurse all the time just like both of your sisters! You still don't really like a pacifier but I am trying :)
4. You love looking at the blue octopus hanging on your play mat... You smile at him and coo away like the two of you are having the best chat
5. Smiling and saying ooo's and aaaah's.
6. You love bath time too and have started kicking the water out of the tub just like Bella used to do
7. You still don't like the car seat or the swing, but maybe later?
8. We love all your gorgeous hair but we are always trying to keep it from standing up on end!
9. You look exactly like mama's baby pictures and lots like Maddie too.., although we see glimpse of Bella and daddy too!

Our little Lily is weighing in at 12 pounds 11 ounces and 23 inches long! That is 90th percentile for weight and 75th for height! You are struggling with tummy issues and food allergies just like your big sister Bella so mom is on a special diet. We are hoping you feel better soon and we see lots more of these sweet smiles!
