Wedding

Last weekend my BFF got married. I had the special role of maid of honor. It was such a beautiful night! She was gorgeous, the ceremony was perfect, weather amazing, and lots of good music and dancing. I am so happy that she has found her love and partner in this world. What a journey they are beginning together.

Happy Birthday Mom

Last weekend we had a little party to celebrate the best mom ever! A nice BBQ with family. I cannot tell you how lucky we are that we all love being together and it's always a good party. Always. I love all the little ones running around and playing...warms my heart. Grandma is so loved and we love to celebrate her!!

Dentist Round Two

Today was our second attempt at Bella having her teeth checked and cleaned. We decided to take her to a pediatric dentist in hopes she would be less afraid. At first things were fabulous... She sat in the chair, got headphones to watch the movie displayed on the ceiling, cool glasses on, watched the lady put on her grape smelling gloves, and then she brought the tools out.... One look at that suction tool and my girl was terrified. She said, "I want my mother.". If course I was at her side in an instant. She was so scared the tears started rolling and she reached for me. It was the saddest little thing ever to see genuine terror in her eyes. I wanted to scoop her up and tell her she didn't ever have to come back again... But after fighting back my own tears I held her and told her what a great job she was doing. We finally convinced her to get back in the chair and let the dentist count her teeth, this took promising her 2 prizes afterward. She was so scared but she did it and kept asking "mommy are we done now?". She couldn't get out of their fast enough.

So behind.

So behind in blog posting. Here are a few recent pictures. Maddie started soccer again, Bella started her new super beast class at Little Gym, I am back to work 2.5 days a week, and Lily is changing everyday. Her six month post is my next one! Our days have been busy and filled with walks, arts and crafts, sports, and doctor visits!! I live to love every busy moment with my little family!

The Not Its

This summer we went to our first kid rock concert. Super FUN!!! I cannot tell you how much Bella loves this band now, The Not Its. We are officially groupies....with both my girls wearing pink tutus to the shows. We own two cd's and next are t-shirts. Bella was so entranced by the lead singer Sara. She kept saying she wants to sing with Sara. Well, she tried.... My toddler climbed up on the stage with the band and stood right next to the singer with the BIGGEST grin on her face ever. I of course went running up there to get her down. She was truly so confused why she couldn't sing with Sara.
I think she has talked about Sara every day since we went to their first show. She also sings all the words to her two favorite songs "Green Light Go" and "Cheetah and Buffalo." Meeting Sara after the show might have been the highlight of her summer! Thank you Katie and Max for introducing us to this awesome band!!

A Tea Party Shower

My best friend Heidi is getting married next month. I cannot count how many times we have talked about and planned our weddings in the past 17 years. It has been so much fun planning with her and I have the honor of being her maid of honor. Well she loves England and spent some time being a nanny there, so I thought it would be fun to plan an English Tea Party Bridal Shower for her. We had so much fun! Thank goodness my mom knows how to host a real tea party!! Mom, thank you so much for all your help, and Elisabeth too! We all love a good party, and especially to celebrate a fabulous bride.
